Nonprofit Transparency Notice
One church. Two names on paper — and why that's completely normal.
If you've come here after seeing "Living Water North Gate" on a filing, a receipt, or a grant application, this page exists to answer the obvious question: who is that, and how are they connected to the church you know as Catch The Fire Boulder? Short answer — they're the same organization. Here's the full picture.
One entity, filed under its legal name and known publicly by its ministry name
Our Legal Status
Why does a church have two names?
It's more common than most people realize, and it's fully above board. Here's the plain-English version.
The legal name is what's on file with the government.
When a nonprofit is formed, it registers a legal name with the state and, if it applies for tax-exempt status, with the IRS. That name shows up on incorporation documents, tax filings, and official registrations. For us, that name is Living Water North Gate. It's accurate, it's official, and it's not the name most people know us by, because it was never meant to be a public-facing brand.
The DBA is the name the community actually uses.
"Doing Business As" (DBA) is a standard, legally recognized way for an organization to operate publicly under a different name than its official one, without forming a separate entity. It doesn't create a new organization, and it doesn't change who's accountable for the finances, the mission, or the ministry. We operate publicly as Catch The Fire Boulder because that's the name our congregation and our city know us by.

Our Foundation
What we believe
Our full statement of faith lives on our main site. Here's the short version of what shapes everything we do.
Scripture
We hold the Bible as the inspired word of God and the foundation for how we live, teach, and make decisions as a church.
The Trinity
One God, three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — central to our worship and our theology.
Grace & Redemption
We believe people are saved through faith, not earned status, and that transformation is available to everyone.
The Holy Spirit, active today
We believe God still moves through the Holy Spirit in the present day, not just in scripture's history.
Community & Discipleship
Faith grows best in relationship. We're built around small communities, mentorship, and hands-on ministry.
Sent Outward
We believe every believer has a role in sharing this faith, starting with the people closest to them.
